On the pier, you will have the chance to be even closer to your next catch, fish like tarpon, tuna, king mackerel, cobia, redfish, bonito, and jack crevalle. With a bit of luck, you may even reel in the rare sailfish. Even if you forget to bring your rod and tackle box, the pier supplies rods, cut bait and tackle rentals at an additional charge.

You may even catch a glimpse of playful dolphins or tranquil sea turtle as you walk down the pier. With a variety of options, you are sure to find a Okaloosa Island restaurant that is perfect for you!
When you’re done eating all the delicious food, make sure you don’t miss out on the boardwalk shopping! Beach apparel and outerwear can be found at stores like Islanders or Surfside. Kittyhawk Kites features a unique selection of kite, gliders, and water toys. The Boardwalk also has full beach access for sunbathing, playing in the sand, or adventures on the water.
Things to Do on the Island
To get the complete experience of Okaloosa Island, you need to get out on the water. Snorkel trips, pontoon rentals, and fishing charters allow you and your family or friends to explore all that the Gulf has to offer. The Gulfarium also provides guests with opportunities to get closer to sea life with its many aquariums and live dolphin performances.
