What you should leave at home
So you know what to bring with you but what are some things you should leave at home? There are many things you may think you want to bring but maybe overpacking.
1. Anything valuable- Yes, you may want to show off that new diamond ring from the man you just married, but what happens if you lose it snorkeling in the ocean? It is best to leave anything with sentimental value, or anything expensive at home somewhere safe.
2. Sunscreen- Destin is a beach town with a lot of convenience stores and places where you can buy sunscreen for a budget-friendly price. There will also be a lot of places in the airport where you can buy a decent amount of sunscreen. Save space and leave the sunscreen at home.
3. Shoes- You will need sandals, but most of the time, you will be barefoot in the sand. To save space, you can wear a pair of tennis shoes, and pack a pair of flip flops or sandals. This will save you space in your bag.
What else you should consider bringing on your beach vacation
If you’re an over-packer, it may be a good idea to look at all of the things you plan on doing and pick outfits for them.
